The CIA Proposed Killing ‘A Boatload Of Cuban’ Refugees And Pinning It On Fidel Castro

Fidel Castro dead at age 90

Perhaps the craziest revelation from the fairly limited collection of documents from the JFK assassination files release this week is the news that in 1962 the CIA seriously considered committing a mass murder of Cuban refugees and framing Fidel Castro in order to stoke American fear against the communist leader. The agency also tossed around the idea of setting off bombs in “carefully chosen spots” in Miami as well as falsifying documents that would implicate Cubans.

As the Miami New Times reports:

After Castro’s revolution succeeded and thousands of Cubans fled to South Florida, the agency actually considered murdering a boatload of refugees, assassinating exile leaders, and planting bombs in Miami — all so Castro could be blamed for the whole massacre.

The basic idea was to turn world opinion — and perhaps opinion inside Cuba — against Castro and possibly justifying a U.S. military invasion by pinning the atrocities on him. The details of the sinister plot are included in a summary about Operation Mongoose, a 1960 covert op hatched by the CIA under President Dwight Eisenhower with the aim of toppling Communist Cuba.

Here’s the document itself:

The plan didn’t come to fruition, thank god.

Revelations like this, and knowing the deceit used to justify the Spanish-American war, the Mexican-American war, the invasion of Iraq, and interventionism worldwide should make us wonder what our real objectives are now that we have a military presence in 17 countries, including many where our presence is not welcome. Is it ideology, hatred of anything foreign including other cultures, fear, or a concerted effort to achieve global domination?

Was it not the accidental explosions set off in the USS Maine’s munitions compartment below deck, while in a harbor off of Cuba, that sunk the ship? And which the US Navy without solid evidence chose to put the blame on Spain, thus satiating the appetite for war with Spain.

      1. Dominick Vila October 28, 2017

Yes, it was. Unfortunately, that did not stop Randolph Hearst from using that accident to blame Spain and press for war, for the purpose of seizing what was left of the old Spanish Empire. The SS Pueblo incident is another false claim used to justify war, and so were the imaginary WMDs in Iraq. Now we are being told that unless we fight or neutralize rebel groups in countries like Niger, we will eventually have to fight them in the USA!!!

These documents offer further evidence of the perfidy of so many in Congress then, and highlights the burgeoning paranoia and the building obsession of the US to present itself as top dog so to speak. And this mentality echoes in Paul Ryan’s childish statements lauding “American Exceptionalism”.

These revelations also show how echoes of a growing sickness called “Nationalism” which began to take form by the year 1803 with seizing of territory[which belonged to the Indigenous peoples of America] from Spain, followed closely in 1812 with the War with the UK.

Trump and Bannon, and much of Congress, are perpetuating this spiritual ailment with the ludicrous cry of “Make America Great Again”. Do we really want to glory in persisting on being war-like, isolationist, and expansionist, along with continuing to be paranoid due a self-centered national psychological weakness??

We should let the disease of Nationalism remain with Putin and China’s Xi Jinping, and let it run its course among the leadership in those countries. In the meantime, America has a lot of purging of perverse impulses left over before we can move forward, and thereby become deserving of the Destiny bequeathed to America by Baha’u’llah.

Otherwise, as foreseen by Him, another nation will be granted the favor of leading the world spiritually.

Lol!!! Are ranting again about your
      idol Boo Boo Bullah?
Let me get this right, you people believe that Buddha and that pedophile Muhammad were prophets and are to be treated the same as Jesus? “No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Aaah, he’s not so special. His father took a whole 7 days to create the world. Trump said that he could have done it in 4 or 5.

Sadly, China is already well on its way to become the dominant economic power in the world. They are expanding their reach in Africa, Latin America, Asia, and Europe, while we tear up international trade agreements and anger our closest allies. This may explain our increased reliance on military might to prolong our privileged position in the world.

Yeah well, wait’ll you see those “special” JFK documents that Trump will finally authorize to be released. The ones that have Hillary as the shooter.

Still holding them back after 54 years huh. At this rate, I guess we’ll see the Trump tax returns sometime in the 2070’s.
