How James Comey’s ‘October Surprise’ Doomed Hillary Clinton’s Candidacy

Reprinted with permission from AlterNet.

Do you remember how you felt last October after you heard that FBI Director James Comey was reopening the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s possible illegal handling of classified communiqués while Secretary of State — just 11 days before the presidential election?

That news, which left me with a sinking feeling that all but erased the confidence I had in Clinton’s prospects after the three presidential debates, was the moment that Donald Trump won the election, according to an analysis released this week by a data firm that tracks the psychological elements below patterns of consumer behavior, moods, and sentiment.

“Many Americans—and particularly those of us working in data-driven businesses—would like to see a credible, fact-based explanation for why the polls seemed to indicate a Clinton victory, but the election instead produced President Trump,” wrote Brad Fay, an executive with Engagement Labs, in the Huffington Post. Fay notes that pollsters were not all wrong, as Clinton won the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes. “But I do believe it was possible to show that the possibility of a Trump victory was rising more rapidly in the final week than opinion polls—and related prediction models—showed.”

Fay said his firm’s behavior-tracking model found what many voters and analysts have suspected, that Comey’s “October surprise” was the tipping point that turned voter sentiment away from Clinton—because people inclined to give Clinton the benefit of the doubt lost their enthusiasm, just as Comey’s announcement buoyed Trump voters.

“We are using a survey to measure behavior rather than opinion data,” Fay explained. “Although it is not our main line of business, every four years since 2008, we have added a few special questions to pick up the daily conversation about presidential candidates during the General Election campaign. Only after Election Day last year did we go back to see what the data showed, and it was startling. The first thing to know is that people were talking very negatively about both Trump and Clinton, in contrast to the mostly positive conversations we see for products and brands.”

“While both candidates were always firmly in negative territory, Clinton nevertheless enjoyed a persistent lead over Trump that opened up after the first debate,” he said. “Both candidates experienced significant drops in the immediate aftermath of the infamous audio recording of Billy Bush and Donald Trump [boasting of sexual assaults], although Clinton still had the advantage.”

But then came Comey’s unprecedented interference in the election, which registered on a much deeper level than the political polls were probing, Fay said.

“Immediately afterward, there was a 17-point drop in net sentiment for Clinton, and an 11-point rise for Trump, enough for the two candidates to switch places in the rankings, with Clinton in more negative territory than Trump,” he said. “At a time when opinion polling showed perhaps a 2-point decline in the margin for Clinton, this conversation data suggests a 28-point change in the word of mouth ‘standings.’ The change in word of mouth favorability metric was stunning, and much greater than the traditional opinion polling revealed.”

“Based on this finding, it is our conclusion that the Comey letter, 11 days before the election, was the precipitating event behind Clinton’s loss, despite the letter being effectively retracted less than a week later,” Fay continued. “In such a close election, there may have been dozens of factors whose absence would have reversed the outcome, such as the influence campaign of the Russian government as detailed by U.S. intelligence services. But the sudden change in the political conversation after the Comey letter suggests it was the single, most indispensable factor in the surprise election result.”

His analysis noted that traditional polling does not take into account how people often react en masse: “behavior predicts behavior,” “the invisible offline conversation matters,” and “humans are a herding species.”

It’s not that traditional political polls aren’t to be trusted, but rather that they expect people to act more rationally than is the case in reality; in other words, they put too much stock in believing what those polled say and too little stock in tracing what those polled may do.

“Political consultants and commercial marketers alike have relied on a model that presumes voters and consumers act according to rational, individual choices that they can express and explain,” Fay said. “What we are learning is that emotion and peer influence play much bigger roles in influencing behavior than previously understood.”

Fay’s takeaway is not just that the FBI director’s interference single-handedly tipped the election away from Clinton and to Trump, but also that if you experienced that announcement as a gut-punch moment, you weren’t alone — and your political instincts were correct.

Really, what a giant waste. Stop focusing on something you can not change, in the past or the future. I, personally, do not give a giant rat’s big fat tail about why Hillary lost the election at this point; leave the past behind and use that energy to bring the giant, orange rat in the White House down.

    1. PJ Coulter March 12, 2017

What you don’t understand, is that Republicans will do these underhanded tricks in the future if nothing is done about it now. I hope this story gets traction so people can see how this all played out. Isn’t it amazing how NOTHING is being done about Sessions lying to the grand jury, they are now investigating Obama for wire tapping, and Trump lies every day with no Repercussions? Just think where we would be at now if this was Hillary with all these narratives swirling around Her? Her chance to be first President of the US was dashed because of a lie…that matters to me a lot. I almost wept when I heard this. I never understood why there has been so little blow back on this.

      1. elw March 12, 2017

Really you think pushing an investigation into Trump and his Russian ties will not uncover any underhanded tricks that affected the election? What is the point of living with imagining what it would be like if Hillary was President now? It will not happen. Hillary is not the center of world – nor will all the revelations of why change that. Living in the past will not change what is happening now.

        1. Oddworld March 12, 2017

Excellent point. As long as the Democrats keep wringing their hands over trying to figure out why Hillary lost they’ll never move forward. It is a mute point why she lost, time to move on.

          1. elw March 12, 2017

Thank you, with all the craziness in the White House you would think they would have a number of better things to ring their hands over???? But I guess not.

          2. Oddworld March 12, 2017

The real thanks goes to you. You saved me from a lot of typing by stating everything I was going to say. My gut feeling is that what we’re experiencing with the Liberal Democrats is more of a
generational problem as many of them are older adults and more accustomed to the way things were, not as they are now. Their kids on the other hand are more radical and less bound to the traditional way of doing things. Some of the young people go right, some go left but they all have one important commonality, the system that is in place must go. The sooner the better.

          3. Independent1 March 13, 2017

And I thought only right-wingers lived in denial. Goes to show that even far left-wingers can refuse to believe reality. The GOP stole the 2016 election and will steal the 2018 election unless something is done to prevent their ability to hack the voting computers.

          4. Oddworld March 13, 2017

I never denied there was cheating going on nor did I ever deny it helped Trump get elected but it doesn’t tell the entire story. I talk to a lot of people away from the computer so I have a firm grasp of what is going on and the truth is many people just simply don’t like Hillary, including myself. I made a promise to someone here on the Memo a few days before the election that I would vote for her which went against my principles but I kept that promise based on two important factors. 1) Though I am a far lefty I still feel that what America needs at this particularly critical juncture is stability. 2) I am an honorable person who keeps his promises.

None of this means that I’m going to suddenly start bashing Hillary or the DNC but I’d like to believe that the Memo readers are open to other perspectives so they can achieve greater success in the coming elections. Even the Dems could stand
some constructive criticism. Now, do you still feel that I don’t have a firm grasp of reality?

          5. Independent1 March 14, 2017

Like elw, you’re missing the point. The whole issue has nothing to do with Hillary – it’s all about the fact that a Democrat candidate who the CNN exit polls said should have won a number of states fairly easily which the Democrat then ended up losing when the votes were counted.

Forgetting about Hillary, it should be alarming to you and other NM posters that something happened in the 2016 election which had never happened before with respect to CNN’s exit polling. Final results in 20 GOP-run states were inconsistent with the exit polling to the favor of a Republican and 13 of those 20 were way out of being consistent. Making it almost positive that someone tampered with the final vote counts – enough to make Trump a winner when he really lost big according to the exit polls. Doesn’t it bother you that the exit polls were only way out of whack in 13-20 GOP-run states??

Forgetting about the Democrat being Hillary, does that not alarm you with respect to what may happen in 2018 when the Democrats running for Congress may lose for the same reason – cheating??

          6. elw March 15, 2017

You do, it is Independent1 that does not get the point. You are headed in the right directions, I am a life long Democrat who is completely disgusted with where the Party has been headed, it is time for the old-establishment to let go and allow fresh blood to take over the leadership. GOP light is not workable any more.

          7. Oddworld March 15, 2017

Thank you! I apologize for sounding ageist in my original post to you, believe me when I say it wasn’t my intention. I had a similar conversation with someone else on the Memo last month, we both agreed that it is time for an infusion of fresh blood with fresh ideas regardless the age of the individual or why not just start listening to the more progressive members they already have.

“GOP light is not workable anymore”. Exactly! And if it continues this way I could easily see the Party splintering into two distinctly separate Parties.

          8. elw March 15, 2017

You do not have to apologize, I was not angry, just wanted to let you know not all old people are cut from the same cloth. After the election, I had hoped that the Democratic establishment would open their eyes and catch on that the status quo is not working for the next generation. That hope is dripping away. If someone out there find a way to start a new Party for progressives, this old lady will be there to join. I have had a good life, I want my grandchildren to have the same opportunities as I did. Once more, we have a liar in the White House who may be closely tied, financially or other ways, to Russia; how in the hell does understanding why Hillary’s lost take priority over that?

          9. Oddworld March 15, 2017

I’m grateful not all of you are cut from the same cloth because there is already a grass roots taking shape and it has been for years. I don’t know if it will result in the form of another Party or just another faction of the Democrats but there is excitement building. Trump certainly hasn’t hurt their chances either. All he needs to do is keep being Trump, that should increase our chances in the future. It is a shame the Dems priorities are misplaced or stalled (not sure which one). Their loss, our gain.

          10. elw March 16, 2017

I think you will be surprised how many gray heads you will find amongst those in the grass roots. I agree the movement is growing, thank the power that be. I think Trump is the best friend of the growing movement, but do not be fooled, it is going to take lots of work and time to dig those Republican roots out of the Democratic Party. For me, a new Party or a revised DNC works just as well. Never give up.

          11. elw March 13, 2017

I am a liberal/progressive Democrat who is older (almost 74). So you might guess I do not agree with your first sentence. Both Sanders and Warren fall into the “older’ category. I doubt they would agree with you as well. I do agree that we need changes in the system and need more younger people in congress who understand what middle class actually means. Not all older people are stuck and I know many younger who could also be called stuck.

      2. SunnyDune March 12, 2017

The “republicans” have been doing this for Ages:
        – Spring 1968. Richard Nixon works behind the green curtain to kabosh LBJ’s secret peace talks with Unclc Ho. They fell apart. Then Nixon double-crossed Ho selling out American troops in the process. But, he won.
        – October 1980: GHW Bush travels to Paris on a private jet to meet with Khomeini’s people to persuade the Iranians to hold onto our Embassy hostages until after the Election. Why do you think they were released on Inauguration Day? Then, Raygun sold out the Iranians.
        – Nov 1994: With most all polls showing the Democrats in the lead in most areas, “Blue Flu” stuck?? Sorry, I don’t buy a nationwide epidemic that struck only Democrats.
        – Nov 2000: Need I rehash the Judicial Coup that gave us W?
        – Nov 2004: Kerry “lost” Ohio, then the guy, who engineered the loss, has the private plane he was traveling in to testify in Toledo crash into Ontario? Please!
        – Nov 2010: an ankle deep “tsunami” occurs just in time for the decennial census? Democrats chickened out, but you can’t make up this stuff.
        – Nov 2014: Gerrymandering works more wonders.
        – Nov 2016: After ‘republicans” slime Hillary for 25+ years, Trump accomplishes the impossible by winning MI, PA and WI?? Plus all of the losses at the State levels?? No, it wasn’t the “disaffected’ voters.

    2. Independent1 March 12, 2017

I agree with PJ Coulter’s reply to you; if we don’t get to the bottom of why Hillary lost and do something to prevent the GOP from redoing what they did to Hillary in future elections, it won’t matter who Democrats put up to run against them because they’ll just continue winning by cheating.

I don’t fully agree that it was Comey’s actions that actually was the full reason Trump won; I believe the GOP actually hacked the voting computers as there is no valid explanation for why CNN’s exit polling was so far out of whack only in the election results of 13 states run by Republicans. Why would CNN’s exit polls be so dramatically distorted in just Republican run states? CNN had Hillary winning easily in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and North Carolina; the fact she lost these 4 states can only be explained by the vote counting computers having been hacked. Had she won these 4 states, she would have beaten Trump by almost 100 electoral votes.

I’m disappointed that more isn’t being done to figure out why CNN’s exit polls in 13 GOP-run states were so skew with the biggest deviations in decades of them doing exit polling. I am encouraged a little bit that the court’s have recently ruled that gerrymandering in Texas and Virginia was illegal and that the districts have to be redrawn.

But before the next election, something has to be done to reduce gerrymandering and voter suppression; and to ensure that Republicans do not have the ability to hack voting computers; remember how Jeb Bush and company actually manipulated the ballots during the 2000 election; and there is still an outstanding lawsuit that was filed during the 2004 election claiming the GOP hacked the voting computers to change votes for Kerry to Bush even back then.

      1. elw March 12, 2017

So in other word we can only find out what went wrong by looking into why Hillary lost????? I also do not understand why there is no mention in your comment of the importance of investigating the type of ties the current man in the White House has with Russia and whether or not he is profiting from his position in the White House. Do you honestly believe that wasting time and effort on why Hillary lost is more important than the possibility that our current President is an agent of a long-time enemy? I would bet the Republican in the House and Senate would very happy if more people would push toward trying to understand why Hillary lost rather than an investigation into Trump’s behaviors. I do agree with one thing, Hillary’s loss was much more complicated than just the actions of Comey and some of that complication lies with the candidate herself. I would guess connecting Trump to Russia will have more of an affect on the next election than any time or effort spent on another investigation in which Hillary is the center of, I actually believe it will make more likely for another win for Trump.

        1. Independent1 March 12, 2017

It’s unfortunate that you’re letting your misguided hatred for Hillary cloud your thinking; and with respect to lies, fact checkers proved Hillary lied less during the campaign than Bernie Sanders (who spewed numerous lies about Hillary); Politifact actually said Hillary was the more honest of all the candidates running in 2016 aside from John Kasich who really didn’t get much into the campaign where his lying would really show..

If you’re mind wasn’t so clouded you’d realize that dealing with what resulted in Hillary losing the election and resolving the Russia issue are apples and oranges; one, the Russia issue, will only resolve what went on with the 2016 election and despite your comments, uncovering what went on with Russia would likely have little or no effect on future elections; it would most likely only result in getting Trump and his campaign aids convicted of an elections crime. If Pence is brought into it, he may be indited also, so quite likely what would happen is Paul Ryan would end up as president. Which would be little different than having Trump and may be even worse.

Only if prosecutors could prove that the Russian influence had a material effect on which party won the election, is there maybe a chance the election would be undone and Hillary reinstated as the winner. But none of that would resolve the gerrymandering, voter suppression and possible actual hacking of vote counting computers that Republicans have put in place in 30 or more states.

And resolving the Russian issue is something that needs to be handled by Congress or the Justice Department or preferably a special prosecutor. While dealing with all the nefarious things the GOP has done to gimmick America’s elections processes in more than half its states is something that the Democrat Party needs to force the Elections Commission to look into and whatever other means the party can find to root out the corrupted election processes in at least the key battleground states like Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Virginia and maybe some others.

If nothing is done to undo the corrupted election processes in those key battleground states by 2018, the GOP will simply go about stealing one more election. Just like in 2000, when Jeb Bush helped steal that one; and in 2004 when vote machine hacking in Ohio let them steal that one; and just like in 2016 when vote machine hacking in as many as 13 states let them steal the last one.

You need to stop letting your hatred for Hillary cloud your thinking.

          1. elw March 13, 2017

Bernie did not run in the general election, comparing lies between him and Hillary is irrelevant to the election and what I or you said. Accusing me of hating Hillary is just plain silly and has nothing to do with what I said in my comment. You really need to move on from Hillary’s loss – it is small potatoes compared to what happening right now in the White House.

          2. Independent1 March 14, 2017

Just like oddworld you’re missing the point: The whole issue has nothing to do with Hillary – it’s all about the fact that a Democrat candidate who the CNN exit polls said should have won a number of states fairly easily which the Democrat then ended up losing when the votes were counted.

Forgetting about Hillary, it should be alarming to you and other NM posters that something happened in the 2016 election which had never happened before with respect to CNN’s exit polling. Forgetting about the Democrat being Hillary, does that not alarm you with respect to what may happen in 2018 and 2020 when the Democrats running for Congress and the presidency may end up losing for the same reason – vote count cheating??

And if you really think the above issue is small potatoes you’re very delusional – it’s far more important for the long-term survival of our democracy than who’s in the White House – that can be corrected by one election or impeachment or Trump being convicted of a number of crimes. Fixing the corrupted election processes the GOP has gimmicked in 20 states or so will take much more doing.

          3. elw March 14, 2017

What worries me is people like you that are more worried about Hillary’s loss than simple fact the man in the White House may be colluding with Russia. We currently have a serious and dangerous problem that should be much more of a concern to you than why Hillary is not in the White House. .

          4. Independent1 March 14, 2017

You’re more worried about something THAT MAY occur, than something that happened which proves that our entire democracy is at stake!! How clueless can you get. The GOP is setting up the election system in America to be hacked so that the GOP can stay in power for decades to come. And you’re more concerned about something that’s no proven AND JUST MAY HAPPEN!! Really?? Talk about who’s clueless here!!!

          5. elw March 15, 2017

Now you are being just plain silly. I am talking about something that is happening right before our eyes. You would see that (maybe) if you were not so wrapped up in Hillary’s loss.

          6. Independent1 March 15, 2017

You Bernie Bros are just like right-wingers – totally tone deaf.

Why is it that everything has to focus on Trump’s disastrous White House, and nothing can be done about an even bigger calamity, the GOP continuing to rig elections??

Is there something magical that somehow prevents the Democrat party and Federal Courts from doing something to stop future rigging of elections? While the Justice Department and Courts and hopefully Congress focus on getting Trump out of the White House??? Are you wanting to see the GOP keep control of Congress in 2018??

Because if nothing is done about the GOP’s election rigging, the GOP will stay in control of Congress from now until who knows when. And if they keep Congress, what good will it do for any Democrat to run for president in 2020???

You have to be one of the most tunnelvision people I’ve seen on the NM in a long time.

Sorry you’re so short sighted and can’t see that there are two very critical problems facing us.

And where are you getting the notion that I’m not super concerned about what’s going on in the White House??

Of course I am, but I’m not dense enough to believe that both problems can’t be addressed at the same time!!!!!!!

  2. Independent1 March 12, 2017

Comey’s actions have reinforced the belief that Republican politicians have virtually all become corrupt and simply cannot be trusted to act in the best interests of our country. It’s truly unfortunate, that by trying to act in a bipartisan manner by appointing a Republican to head the FBI, President Obama may have made the worst decision of his time in office by putting what turned out to be a anatical Republican mole into a position that helped bring down the election of the first woman president in our country’s history; and bring into power the most corrupt right-wing regime ever headed by a mentally ill fascist.

    1. righteous mob March 12, 2017

You just need a big dose of bothsiderism. The media will happily oblige.

      1. Independent1 March 12, 2017

No! The media is not ‘bothsiderist’. Today’s media is distinctly right-wing biased – virtually always refusing to publish articles about the positive things that the left-wing attempts to bring to our country, while focusing almost entirely on the negativism of the right – even going to the point of fabricating reality in it’s efforts to brainwash Americans into believing right-wing lies about virtually everything that transpires on a day-to-day basis. America’s media has turned into nothing more than a 24/7 propaganda arm for the GOP.

        1. righteous mob March 12, 2017

I speak with respect to the fact that the media will ply any public discontent with the notion that both parties are equally bad for the country, not that the media will treat both parties equitably regarding their policies. That hasn’t happened in ages.

          1. Independent1 March 12, 2017

I’ll agree with that; I misunderstood your original post.

        2. 788eddie March 12, 2017

That’s because the media is owned by the very wealthy, in whose interest it is to maintain the righ & powerful status quo.

Maybe Jefferson was correct; a revolution once every generation is a good thing.

          1. InformedVoter March 14, 2017

Poor Eddie, still making dumb comments. Haven’t you learned your lesson by now?

        3. InformedVoter March 14, 2017

Holy smoke? The MSM is right-wing biased? Gee, do you realize how stupid that comment makes you look? Even the FAKE MSM makes it no secret that they are left-wing biased!
And you wonder why you keep losing debates in these forums.

      2. Independent1 March 12, 2017

And a clear example of that right-wing bias was the rollout of Obamacare when the media virtually refused to publish any articles about the many great things that ACA was doing for millions of Americans, but instead focused on 24/7 reporting of one right-wing nonsensical ploy after another:

Like insurance companies cancelling polices when that had been the norm in the private health insurance sector for decades, it had nothing to do with ACA.

Like the idiocy that Obama lied when he said ACA would let you keep your doctor and insurance plan. When that was built into ACA and it was the insurance company CEOs who lied in their effort to defraud their insureds by working to brainwash insureds into believing they were changing their policies which wouldn’t let them keep their doctor because of the ACA rollout; which was a big lie on their part!

this in it self shows just how much B/S go’s on in the country (mind you if be it the DEM party had all these things going on and the way thy went on thy be having a big bird crap . and to no end would thy be doing investigation after investigation with hearings up the ying yang . this COMA COMEY is at the heart of the B/S him self . no matter what he says or dose now it cant change the damage he did . first off the bull on Hillary 9 days before the election . was a kick in the stone’s . and its not his job to say what he thinks of how any one side did their job . his opinion wasn’t needed and only went for one side and one way . he should of never told what he might of felt . the only thing he should said was NO WE ARE NOT GOING TO BRING ANY CHARGE ON HILLARY . if asked why not one way or the other he should said he cant answer that . if be it he was going to had brought charges then yes he could of said why . but him giving his opinion was not right and wasn’t his job to say how anyone or side dose or handles anything . and then when he was asked about investigations on DONNY DUMP was there any going on . he said I cant comment of any on going investigation I cant say yes or no . FBI RULES he said . ok be it those are the rules then how and why did you say and tell all that there was an on going investigation on Hillary . and he said there was one on her going on . and this was done and he said this after he gave his opinion (wasn’t needed and wasn’t his job to do so mind you ) of how Hillary handled things . after this what was it 3 to 4 days before the election (after the 9 days before the election his first one sided BULL statement ) then when he said the FBI did have what another investigation on Hillary ? that was an ongoing investigation . but he couldn’t say anything if there was one going on with the DONNY DUMP DUMPSTER be he could and did on Hillary . something very fishy here . then 2 days before the election he says alls clear on Hillary . its rotten to the core with the would thing from the GOP gang of pinheads to the FBI and the BULL OF COMA COMEY

Integrity is absent in Comey. He is an embarrassment to this nation and his refusal to resign simply confirms his complicity in election theft and his lack of core morality.

    1. SunnyDune March 12, 2017

Yes, he should have resigned – and been prosecuted.
However, had he resigned, think of who might have been installed as FBI Director. Better the Devil you know, than one of Trump’s Devils.

      1. Dapper Dan March 12, 2017

We’re getting overrun lately by the demons inhabiting the WhiteHouse ????

  5. SunnyDune March 12, 2017

Russian hacking only allowed Trump to be “in the race”. Without their releases during the Summer, Trump would have been in Hillary’s dust.

Yes, it was Comey who swung the race to Trump.

But, even worse. Democrats were leading in many races in many States right up until Sunday before the Election. Mysteriously, following Comey clearing Hillary of anything, most of those races swung 20 to 30 points by the Tuesday night Count…. as did her own count in FL, MI, NC, OH, PA and WI.

    Strange, isn’t it?

    1. Dapper Dan March 12, 2017

Very strange indeed. Thank You so much FBI Director James Comey for cursing us with the man I’ll never call President ????

      1. plc97477 March 14, 2017

Thank you. That works great on a postcard.

    2. Mask Agee March 12, 2017

Did Russia have something to do with Trump beating out how many other candidates? Seriously. Hillary’s campaign brought us Trump. He was their Pied Piper Candidate. Out of all the candidates, she picked Trump to run against while she was being investigated for not complying with State Department rules and having her own server (Huma had her maid print out classified documents off of her pervert husband’s computer! — Remember!)
and making millions off of foreign relations in the name of the Foundation and President Clinton and the Department of State of the United States, selling arms to SA and then saying she knows they support AQ and ISIL! Everyone saw through that. That wasn’t fake news back then. This is fake news, now!

      1. ⚡️ I Am Helpy ⚡️ March 12, 2017

Trump was just the most racist out of a bunch of racists; that’s how he defeated the other goobers from the GOP, but it has zero to do with his treasonous collusion with a foreign dictator.

        I hope that helps!

    3. CPANY March 13, 2017

It sounds like fraud to me. Too many things happened to Clinton in short a period of time.

  6. Mask Agee March 12, 2017

There were legitimate concerns! Unlike RUSSIA!

    1. ⚡️ I Am Helpy ⚡️ March 12, 2017

Hillary Clinton was never under investigation by the FBI. Donald Trump, on the other hand, was.

    2. Sand_Cat March 13, 2017

      Dream on, moron.
That’s why she’s in jail, right? What an idiot!

  7. notafoxfan March 12, 2017

the seriousness of what mr trump has been involved in, as well as his associates,is far more detrimental to the democracy and security of the u.s. than anything having to do with e mails..when facts begin to come out,as they always do,hillarys supposed “issues” will be forgotten..comey was “used” to make a point, and it worked well for the republicans…

  8. Bill Smith 999935 March 13, 2017

    The butt hurt continues.

  9. CPANY March 13, 2017

Comey’s a political hack, not much better than Hoover.

  10. mike March 13, 2017

This would have been all moot if she hadn’t used private servers. Then lied to the American people about contents of emails that passed through the many servers.
She got caught showing she wasn’t transparent or trustworthy which gave the public another reason not to vote for a very flawed candidate. Face it she was a terrible candidate.
No Servers! No Comey! No Trump!
    She got what she deserved.

  11. ivory69690@yahoo.com March 13, 2017

the way COMA COMEY made this look was like he was in the DONNY DUMP & GOP gang of pinheads pocket

  12. ivory69690@yahoo.com March 14, 2017

How James Comey’s ‘October Surprise’ Doomed Hillary Clinton’s Candidacy!! funny how he had no problem talking about the ongoing investigation on Hillary (heck even giving his (OPINION )<< which isn't his job . ) but its against the FBI rules to do it on DONNY DUMP ?????????/ the BULL is piled high here TOO HIGH INVESTIGATION TIME ON THE COMA COMEY & THE FBI !!
