#EndorseThis: Seth Meyers Eviscerates Trump’s Cruel Immigration Plans

It doesn’t take a genius to recognize the huge gap between Donald Trump’s rhetoric on immigration and reality. During Wednesday night’s episode of Late Night, Seth Meyers took Trump to task for his aggressive and unnecessarily cruel immigration policies.

Meyers ridiculed Trump for completely fabricating the idea of an uncontrollable immigrant crime wave and for inflating the number of undocumented immigrants in the United States, noting the non-alternative fact of a net loss of 140,000 Mexicans between 2009 and 2014.

“That’s right,” quipped the Late Night host.  “America has turned into a bad movie and people are walking out.”

He also taunted Trump’s ridiculous claim that the U.S.-Mexico border wall will be impenetrable. As an engineer pointed out in our pages, the wall is not only impractical, but the costs are completely absurd.

“Look, these immigration policies are cruel, unnecessary, and ineffective,” Meyers pleaded in a rare moment of solemnity. “Even many Republicans think so. Those Republicans and Democrats should stand up to Trump.”

When did the late night comedic stand-up’s become so competent? Meyers, is now the countries go to guy,on immigration costs and numbers? I mean really who the heck does he think he is? Better if he actually does what he ‘s hired to do,provide comic relief to the masses. If he wants to enter the world of politics he will need to become significantly more aware of the facts and figures surrounding “Illegal Aliens” Something that he does not now have a command of!

They became competent when Trump started down the road into lunacy.

Now real facts and figures are contrasted with those put out by Trump and the discrepancy is funny. Didn’t you laugh when Trump claimed there were millions at his inauguration and the pictures showed empty stands?

He does provide comic relief. You just don’t get it. i guess you are a little slow. Watch out, Trump may insult you next.

      1. Kurt Kruse February 25, 2017

If he, as you say provides comic relief, he does so only to the mentally challenged! You should probably remain on his foolish train ride, as it is
highly unlikely that you are able to function in the real world.Although the rest of us would prefer that you and others of your ilk, learn to distinguish fact from fiction we do so with little anticipation that you can?

        1. JPHALL February 25, 2017

FOR WINNERS OF THE ELECTION YOU RIGHT WINGERS SURE WHINE A LOT. What people choose to watch on TV is their business. The same is true for comedy.
