Rev. William Barber II Brought Down The House At The DNC

Reverend Dr. William Barber II mesmerized the crowd during the final night of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
Using the fiery preaching style that has made him known across North Carolina, the state’s NAACP president delivered an electrifying speech in which he encouraged the nation to fight back against hate with love, and “be the moral defibrillators of our time.”
Although the civil rights leader usually does not endorse candidates or organizations, something he told the convention, his speech was a clear endorsement of Hillary Clinton.
“Some issues are not left versus right or liberal versus conservative, they are right versus wrong,” said the voting rights advocate. “We need to embrace our deepest moral values and push for a revival of the heart of our democracy.”

I am a None but would go to Reverend William Barber’s church just for the pleasure of hearing him preach! What a public speaker! And by the way, I thought the GOP were supposed to be the “Christian” party. Watching the DNC was like attending a tent revival, as opposed to the RNC which felt more like a funeral. DUMP THE TRUMP!
Me too. I think that is why Tim Kaine goes to a black church. They are different and it is people like this Pastor that make it so.
I have had the pleasure to meet Dr. Barber and hear him speak. He is a man committed to his religious belief and people of NC. He and NAACP has worked tirelessly to defeat the voter suppression laws enacted by Republican GOP Majority in NC. Today, the 4th Circuit Court ruled those laws were discriminatory. YES(((((((

The next day after his speech. I will bet if the justice saw his speech they were moved to do this and do it quickly. At least that is my deepest hope that a heart may have been unhardened by his speech if they were inclined to decide otherwise maybe they were moved to do the right thing instead of protecting the GOP control.
Unfortunately, some of the states that this court voted down have decided that they don’t have to abide by the 4th Circuit Court and plan to continue their voter suppression antics! These governors of these states need to be impeached!
I had never heard of him before. He was terrific.
He protests against the laws passed in North Carolina against the blacks and the deliberate attacks on their voting rights.
I wonder if his speech in any way precipitated the fall of those deliberate laws passed in GOP controlled states? Laws they passed with a vengeance that deliberately violated the Constitution in what was described by the Judge as surgical precision affecting laws that applied to mainly blacks.
To me each and every law maker that supported these clearly unconstitutional laws are guilty of violating their oaths to uphold it.
They are guilty and should be removed from office and have all pay clawed back for their treasonous actions against citizens of the Republic.
Please, love, triumph over over the malignancy of hate that is rampant in this country.
He is an American hero.
It was a monumental speech that had many things in it that needed saying and he said them well and with a moral authority because he has been witnessing it for the last several years while tirelessly mounting his Moral Mondays. I respect that and am so grateful for his commitment. Thank you for all you have done.
It’s amazing how many groups and individuals who have rarely, if ever, endorsed a particular candidate are now jumping on the band wagon and endorsing Hillary! It just goes to show people how poisonous Trump’s candidacy is to the American people. Even his own people, wealthy Republicans, etc., are saying they are going to vote for Hillary because she represents a better America. Even the Koch Bros. have refused to meet with him or his gang and refuse to finance his campaign, feeling better by financing Republican senators, etc. who are running for re-election rather than Trump! Money better spent to their way of thinking!
